About PLMA

Peak Load Management Alliance (PLMA) is a non-profit organization founded in 1999. It was created to be the “voice of the Demand Response Practitioners” and it’s member organizations share expertise to educate each other and explore innovative approaches to Demand Response programs.

About the Award

Earlier this week, PLMA announced the eight winners of its 14th Annual PLMA Awards. The Awards were presented during the 35th PLMA Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. Among other organizations in both, public and private sector, the city of New York received the national award recognition to the City’s Municipal Demand Response Program.

Demand Response has become a critically important energy program for the city of New York, including more than 340 facilities across 20 city agencies and organizations, responsible for a significant reduction of the load of the locations engaged and the City’s municipal peak load in general.
